I'm a software engineer, gamer, and I have tons of hobbies which I adore.
I've always wanted to write software since I was a little kid. I received my first computer when I was five years old, a Tandy CoCo 2, on which I learned Color BASIC. The following year for Christmas, I received a Commodore 64 (C=64) I had my C=64 for a long, long time and learned both PET BASIC and 6502 asm on it. Inevitably, I moved on to MS-DOS and Windows. Today, computers are central to our lives and I have the pleasure of being able to work with many different languages, frameworks, platforms, and operating systems. Not only do I write software for a living but I continue to write apps for personal use. I'm pretty big in to home automation so a lot of my hobby projects these days center around that.
I play both tabletop games and video games. A lot. Competitively, I play a few fighting games (currently Guilty Gear Strive, Killer Instinct, and Samurai Shodown) and Blood Bowl. I'm a big fan of GMT's board games with particular favorites being the COIN series, Flying Colors, Wing Leader, and the Next War series. Restoration Games also has a killer library of re-envisioned classics. Favorite video games include Mega Man, the Souls series, the Drakengard/NieR series, Dragon Quest, Final Fantasy, and most Paradox games. RIP Transformers TCG.
I collect toys. Particularly: Transformers, the Power Rangers Lightning Collection, and Gundam Universe.
I enjoy playing piano and cooking. Friends are family. I miss the arcades.
